Have you guys been to Three Sticks Wintery before in Sonoma? I just visited for the first time for an event hosted by Emily Martin Communication & Events, and it is the cutest little gem of a spot! Once you enter through their private gates, you feel like you’ve been transported to your own little villa, complete with incredible wines and food pairings. ???

AN UNFORGETTABLE VISIT TO THREE STICKS WINERY

We started off the day with a tour of Three Sticks Winery where we got to learn about the history of the buildings and property. Every little corner of this place is so sweet and pretty, so it was fun to explore and picture what went on at the historic Vallejo-Casteñada Adobe back in 1842. When we moved on to the main event, we got to sit down in their private tasting room with wine maker Ryan Prichard. It was such a treat to hear from him and to be able to ask him questions about the wines. My favorite wine that we tried was actually the rosé, which we got to preview before its release this spring.

I loooove a good food and wine pairing, and while cheese and chocolate + wine is lovely, I’m far more impressed when a lot of thoughtfulness and partnership are put into creating a more elaborate flavor pairing. Three Sticks Winery partners with one of my favorite Sonoma restaurants, girl and the fig, to do their food pairings, and they’ve done such a wonderful job. Each pairing was beautifully done and the flavors truly complimented each other. ?

Also, do not miss the Three Sticks Winery bathroom!! Is that weird to say? I don’t even care! Check it out and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. The wall paper, gold accents, and pretty light fixtures make it impossible to not take a bathroom selfie in here. The décor is #bathroomgoals, but it’s no surprise since Ken Fulk, the interior designer famous for doing The Battery in SF and Leo’s Oyster Bar, did the interior design at Three Sticks.

Tastings at Three Sticks Winery is by appointment only, so be sure to call ahead. Especially during weekends, they are usually booked a couple weeks out. But the team at Three Sticks did say that even if they are full, you should let them know you read about Three Sticks Winery on What The Fab, and they’ll do their best to accommodate you!
