SPIN SF

Lately my family has gotten really into ping pong. Like, up til 2am playing, trash talking, and shouting, into ping pong. Over the holidays my mom and dad on a whim decided to clean up the garage and pull out their old ping pong table when everyone was over, and we all had so much fun playing, it’s become a tradition whenever we go home to visit the fam. This year, since we’ve gotten so wildly into ping pong (but can’t exactly fit a ping pong table in our one-bedroom SF apartment), we hosted Omied’s birthday at one of my new favorite spots in San Francisco, SPIN!

Everyone always thinks that SPIN SF is a spin class when I mention it. ? But it’s actually a huge ping pong club in Soma! It’s just as fun as it sounds. SPIN SF has a great set up and if you haven’t been, you definitely have to check it out. It’s perfect for a fun night out with a group of friends, or a special occasion like a birthday. I also wish I knew about SPIN back when I did corporate events at Google, because the venue is perfect for that! You can reserve ping pong tables and you’ll also have a server with your table, so you can easily order food and drinks. Their food and cocktails are great, btw! But I think my absolute favorite part about SPIN is that you NEVER have to chase ping pong balls!! You have a giant basket of ping pong balls at your table, and their staff come around with this little ball picker-upper thing and snatch up the balls (it’s oddly satisfying to watch).

Tables range from $49/hour to $79/hour, depending on the date and time. If reserving tables during their peak hours is outside of your price range, SPIN SF also has a new late night special, where you can come in with friends and play after 9pm until closing for just $9 per person Mondays – Thursdays! ?
