Wanted to tell you guys about a recent discovery that I’m loving: liquid vitamins.

Now while we should all be striving to get the majority of our nutrients from eating healthy, whole foods, taking multivitamins to make sure you’re filling any gaps and getting all the vitamins you need is important too. But there are so many products and vitamins out there—how do you determine which ones are important to take, without popping 15 different vitamins a day? Which ones have the most benefits? Do I need amino acids? What’s a safe amount to take? I had many vitamin questions.

Over the last year, I’ve been pretty good about taking my daily multivitamin and a couple of other capsules like omega-3 fish oil, CoQ10, and occasionally iron. These are the multivitamins and mineral supplements that I had decided to take through my own research. But I had never considered that there may be a better way to ingest these vitamins, like in liquid form.

Enter DL.MD. I’ve been taking DL.MD’s liquid multivitamin daily for the last couple of weeks, and tbh, I wish I had discovered this product years ago. It’s a gamechanger when it comes to vitamins.

DL.MD’s founder, Dr. Lamees Hamdan, took it upon herself to create a multivitamin when she had two realizations: 1. That she was over supplementing herself while pregnant, and 2. There is no FDA regulation in the supplements industry.

DL.MD has 13 essential vitamins, five minerals, and one bioflavonoid complex that your body needs for support. And there are no fillers, binders or harmful substances.

Another thing I learned that kinda shocked me was that our bodies only absorb 3 – 20% of nutrients from vitamins that are in pill and gummy form, compared to 98% absorption when taken in liquid form.

So after doing my own research (because let’s face it, you have to be your own advocate and the FDA certainly isn’t going to help you out here!), I decided to give DL.MD a try. The #1 thing I’ve noticed is how taking it helps to stabilize my energy levels. Some days I have crazy energy dips where in the late afternoon around 2 or 3pm, I feel so, so tired. Like, I can barely sit up and keep my eyes open and really can’t focus, tired. Sometimes all I want is to curl up and take a nap, and given that I work from home, it takes a lot of willpower to not do that. I’ve tried several different things to mitigate this, like cutting out carbs for lunch, having smaller snacks throughout the day rather than a big meal, intermittent fasting, working out in the morning or afternoon, and so far none of it helped.

But after taking DL.MD’s liquid multivitamin daily for the last couple weeks, I’ve noticed that these energy slumps are happening less, and when they do occur they are much less drastic than they were previously. Yay!

While I was reading reviews online I noticed a lot of people saying that DL.MD has also improved their skin, nails, and hair. While I haven’t noticed any of these benefits yet myself, I’ve only been taking it for a couple of weeks so I’m excited to see if I notice any differences.

DL.MD is really easy to take, and the dosage is 1 teaspoon daily. You can either take the teaspoon straight, or add it to water, juice, or a smoothie. When you take it straight the taste is obviously stronger than if you dilute it in another beverage, and it tastes like a raspberry vitamin. I personally prefer to just mix it with a small glass of water and it’s really easy to drink it down that way. Definitely easier than some of the huge vitamin pills I was taking previously that I had to mentally prepare for! And because DL.MD bypasses the stomach and is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, it’s a great option for people with sensitive stomachs.

And then lastly, let’s talk about the bottle. It’s chic and minimalistic, so I don’t mind having it out on my bar cart (which helps me remember to take it every day!). It’s made of Miron Glass, which keeps the liquid multivitamin protected, potent, and fresh. Vitamins are sensitive ingredients, so the Miron Glass protects the product for longterm storage.

I also really appreciate that DL.MD gives back. Since they know the importance and impact of good nutrition, especially starting at an early age with children, they support nutritional programs and vitamin supplements for those in need through Helen Keller International.

DL.MD is designed to be safe for adults (both women and men) and kids over 4 years of age. You can find DL.MD in Sephora stores and online. And feel free to read the reviews on Sephora—here are a few of my favs!

“This stuff is great! I’ve been having issues with my thyroid and have felt pretty terrible lately. Since starting to take this every morning I’ve felt so much better! It obviously hasn’t made my issues go away, but it has noticeably helped me. The taste isn’t too bad either, but I do prefer to take it with a little bit of OJ instead of water.”

“Live this liquid vitamin! The flavor has a raspberry taste that reminds me of the Flintstones vitamins I took as a kid. Since it’s a liquid vitamin I know my body is absorbing it quickly and effectively. My hair skin and nails all seem more healthy and shiny. This is the perfect daily vitamin to add to your morning regimen.”

“I have never tried a liquid vitamin but I don’t plan on going back. This product is great – taste is acceptable as far as vitamins go, IBS / SIBO friendly, and it includes all of the essential vitamins including Vitamin C, D, B, Folic Acid, Biotin etc. Another plus is the product’s packaging – a Miron glass bottle. That means the liquid stays fresher for longer and the glass also preserves the dynamic energy of what is stored inside. I feel more energy and my skin is clearer – recommend this product.”

“This product is amazing! I noticed that I had so much more energy about a week after I started taking it, and my hair started to grow faster! I had never taken a liquid multivitamin before, and I really appreciated all the research that went into making this product safe and effective. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Love this stuff. I’ve been taking it for about 25 days now and received it on Influenster to try. I do believe it’s been helping me have more energy and give me the vitamins I’m lacking. It tastes great, honestly tastes really good, like an orangey-raspberry sweetness (but not too sweet!). I also love their eco-friendly packaging where it doesn’t lose its product shelf life, and quality either. They also help give vitamins to women and children in need so I really love that as well about their products, a huge part of why I trusted them to continue to use it daily! Give it a shot. They’re delicious and I will continue to buy.”

“I get chronically dry skin year-round, but especially during the winter months, after a month of using this, my skin is handling the dry air much better and seems to be healing much better too. These taste great by themselves and are easy to add to juice or smoothies, too. I love that these are allergen-friendly and very high quality. The packaging is even beautiful!”
