Dry Creek Kitchen, Healdsburg CA review, by travel blogger What The Fab

I’m currently on the stay the f*ck home diet, missing all my favorite restaurants, so this post all about Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg, CA especially has me drooling.

Dry Creek Kitchen is one of Healdsburg’s fine dining restaurants, located right in the downtown square area, attached to Hotel Healdsburg.

The dining room has a lovely ambiance, with high ceilings, large windows, and a lovely patio for outdoor dining. Chef Charlie Palmer opened this restaurant in 2001, and it’s become a Healdsburg staple.

The food at Dry Creek Kitchen serves a lot of American classics and quintessentially California-fare.

Their rotating menu features fresh ingredients, many of them sourced from their Sonoma neighbors.

You might get a bit overwhelmed reading through their menu because everything sounds so delicious (and it is). But their five-star staff provides excellent service and will take the time to help guide you to make the right picks for your table.

During our recent dinner here, we enjoyed some amazing dishes like their focaccia bread, ahi tuna tartare, scallops, pasta, and steak to finish.

It all got rave reviews from us, and Dry Creek Kitchen is easily one of our favorite wine country restaurants.

For fine dining on a budget, their tasting menu on Monday evenings is an amazing deal.

Their Sonoma Neighbor Menu changes weekly, and for $39 you’ll get a three-course dinner. Currently, their Sonoma Menu is featuring a spring root vegetable salad as the first course, flat iron steak as the second course, and chocolate bread pudding for dessert.

I mean, yum. You can add a wine pairing for the savory courses for $19.

Another thing I love about Dry Creek Kitchen is their corkage policy.

They’re supportive of their Sonoma County friends, so they allow you to open up to two bottles from Sonoma County with no corkage fee.

So if you spent all day wine tasting in the Russian River Valley and want to open up one of the delicious bottles you bought to enjoy with dinner, you can!

Dry Creek Kitchen also has an extensive wine list of their own, expertly curated by their wine director.

Their wine list really highlights what Sonoma County is known for—amazing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Russian River Valley, delicious Cabs from Alexander Valley, and big Zins from Dry Creek Valley.

If you’re in search of cocktails, be sure to check out their cocktail bar Spirit Bar, located inside the lobby of Hotel Healdsburg.

You can grab cocktails and small bites here, as well as wines by the glass. And they have one of the best happy hours in Healdsburg, with happy hour cocktails, beer, and wine coming in at $7.50 and plenty of bites to choose from.

Happy hour is daily from 5pm – 7pm.
