Top 12 Airbnb Bologna Accommodations

Airbnb Bologna

Bologna, Italy was such a cute city and I loved visiting. It’s so different than glitzy Florence or tourist-packed Rome. There’s a University there so you’ll find a lot of students, and overall Bologna just feels much more low key than other parts of Italy, while still being full of history and of course, amazing food. Bologna is a great spot to book at Airbnb and really feel like a local, which is what we did for our time there.

To make this Top Airbnb Bologna Accommodations post, I scoured through all 300-something Airbnbs available in Bologna, and narrowed my list down to the top 12. The best Bologna Airbnbs were selected based on location, aesthetic, price, and amenities like air conditioning or a terrace. *All photos in this post are from Airbnb and belong to the Airbnb owners.

Top 12 Best Airbnb Bologna Accommodations

1. Bright Attic with Beautiful Views and Terrace

Best Airbnb Bologna
Best Airbnb Bologna

I’m in love with all the natural wood in this Bologna Airbnb, and of course the gorgeous and cozy outdoor terrace doesn’t hurt either. I love that when you look up through the skylight, you see one of Bologna’s famous towers.

This Airbnb also has air conditioning and is an Airbnb Plus, meaning it has all the amenities you’d expect from a comfortable home. It is super centrally located and just a few blocks away from Bologna’s main square, Piazza Maggiore, but given its location on a backstreet, it’s still quiet. If you’re going to be on a long trip, you’ll be happy to know this Airbnb has a laundry machine.

Up to 4 guests // 1 bedroom // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $136 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

2. Elegant Apartment in Bologna’s Historic Center

Best Airbnb Bologna

This apartment is light, bright, and comfortable, and it’s another Airbnb Plus. You’ll find all the amenities you need here, including AC and a laundry room with washing machine. This elegantly decorated apartment is in the heart of the city center, making it very easy to walk to delicious restaurants and fun bars in Bologna.

If you’re looking for clean, comfortable, and centrally located all at a really great price, Letizia’s apartment is a great option.

Up to 2 guests // 1 bedroom // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $84 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

3. Budget-Friendly Option with a Patio

Best Airbnb Bologna
Best Airbnb Bologna

This simple but chic apartment is kind of a steal. It can accommodate up to four guests (with a pull-out couch in the living room), and the price starts at $48 per night! Split between four people, that’s practically free. 😉 Perfect for a budget-friendly Airbnb in Bologna. It’s also just a ten minute walk away from Piazza Maggiore, so you’re not sacrificing centrality for a lower priced Airbnb as can sometimes be the case.

I love that this apartment has a nice kitchenette complete with an oven and a microwave (I feel like microwaves are scarce in Europe), and an adorable little patio where you can enjoy your breakfast in the mornings. This apartment is brand new and you can really tell from the photos, as it looks recently updated.

Up to 4 guests // 1 bedroom // 2 beds // 1 bath. Prices from $48 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

4. Deluxe Apartment with Terrace and Views

Best Airbnb Bologna

Ok, if you’re looking for an Airbnb in Bologna with a terrace and a view, this is the apartment for you. There aren’t a ton of Bologna Airbnbs with terraces and epic views, and this one really can’t be beat. The lovely terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the mornings and wind down with an aperitif in the evenings, all with views of Bologna’s famous towers. The location is fantastic and you’ll be steps away from all of the main sights as well as a couple different bus route options. If I come back to Bologna some day (which I really hope I do), I’m booking this Bologna Airbnb!

To get to the bedroom you do need to climb some interesting looking stairs (see pics in the house listing), so if you have mobility issues this may not be the Airbnb for you.

Up to 4 guests // 1 bedroom // 2 beds // 1 bath. Prices from $114 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

5. Apartment in the Historic Center

Best Airbnb Bologna

This Airbnb Plus in Bologna would be perfect for two couples, a group of friends, or a family of four traveling together, as it has two separate bedrooms, a pull-out couch, and two bathrooms. The apartment is stylish, modern, and spacious, with amenities that are all new and up to date. There’s even a parking space if you are traveling by car. There are plenty of markets nearby, especially on weekends when the farmer’s markets set up.

Up to 4 guests // 2 bedroom // 2 beds // 2 bath. Prices from $93 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

6. Light and Airy Loft

Best Airbnb Bologna

This Bologna Airbnb would be perfect for a small group of fam/friends. You could accommodate up to six people here, although it might be a bit cramped with only one bathroom, so 3- 4 people might be more comfortable. The modern design of this loft is really gorgeous, and it is located inside of what used to be a monastery in the 1500’s.

This apartment is located in the lively Santo Stefano district, where you can easily stroll around to find an aperitif or delicious dinner.

Note that this apartment does not have air conditioning, so I wouldn’t book it during hot summer months.

Up to 6 guests // 2 bedroom // 3 beds // 1 bath. Prices from $88 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

7. Industrial Vintage Apartment

Best Airbnb Bologna

This colorful apartment with eclectic decor is a great option for a couple traveling together. The average rate is $75 per night, making it a super reasonable place to stay, especially for an Airbnb Plus in such a central location. Do note that this one doesn’t have AC, so it might not be the best space for booking in the dead of summer.

Up to 2 guests // 1 bedroom // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $75 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

8. Studio in the Heart of Bologna

Best Airbnb Bologna

This small but comfortable studio is a great option for an individual or couple looking for a super centrally located Airbnb at an affordable price. It is recently renovated with apartment updates, and is on the second floor of a recently refurbished building. It’s small but close to everything you’d want to go see in Bologna.

Up to 2 guests // 0 bedroom (studio) // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $75 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

9. Apartment in Center of Bologna

Best Airbnb Bologna

This Airbnb in Bologna is another great option for an individual or couple looking for a well-priced apartment in a great location. This apartment is in the heart of the historic center, just a couple minutes walk away from the Two Towers. It also has a washing machine, which is so great if you’re on a long trip through Italy and need to wash some clothes!

Up to 3 guests // 1 bedroom // 2 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $72 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

10. Cute Loft in the Heart of Bologna

Best Airbnb Bologna

This cute little loft is very reasonably priced and in a great location. You’ll be within walking distance to Bologna’s top attractions and restaurants. Do note that since this is a loft, there are some steep stairs to get up to the sleeping area.

Up to 3 guests // 1 bedroom // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $66 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

11. Studio in St. Stefano

Best Airbnb Bologna

This charming studio is located right next to Piazza St. Stefano, and is a perfect jumping off point for your stay in Bologna. The studio has one double bed as well as a sofa bed, which is why it can accommodate up to four people. From here, you’ll be close to everywhere that you want to go to, with tons of bar and restaurant options just steps away.

Up to 4 guests // 0 bedroom (studio) // 1 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $66 per night. Check pricing and dates here.

12. Apartment with Fantastic Views of Bologna

Best Airbnb Bologna

Obviously, if you’re booking this Airbnb in Bologna, you’re booking it for the terrace. The views of Bologna from here are amazing. You’ll be centrally located and all of Bologna’s main sights are easily walkable from here.

Do note that other guests have indicated that this apartment is in a busy building and the curtains don’t block out sunlight, so earplugs and an eye mask are a must.

Up to 3 guests // 1 bedroom // 2 bed // 1 bath. Prices from $93 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
