Three ways to save time in your morning routine

One thing that all my friends and family know about me is that I am not a morning person. I’ve always been a night owl, and I’ve always been slow to wake up, with most mornings involving multiple snooze buttons and then a scramble to get out the door. It’s just a fact of life for me! So in order to combat not being a morning person, I’ve developed a few habits that help make my morning routine a little quicker. Here are three simple ways that I save time in the mornings, so I can have a quicker, less chaotic start to my day:

  1. Have a nutritious breakfast on the go. I don’t know about you, but I definitely don’t have time to make a healthy breakfast from scratch in the mornings. To save time in the mornings and still have a hearty breakfast, I can heat up a Healthy Choice Morning Power Bowls like this Unwrapped Burrito Scramble, finish getting ready while it’s in the microwave, and then grab it and head out the door, ready to take on my day. Taking my time and packing everything I need the night before means I can smoothly grab my bag and waltz out the door in the morning.
  3. Lay out your outfit the night before. When I’m picking out what to wear in the morning, I inevitably try on multiple outfits, and when a top just doesn’t quite go or I feel like I picked out the wrong pair of pants, they usually end up getting thrown on the floor while I search for something else in my closet. And then since I’m in such a rush to get out the door, pieces of clothing end up getting strewn about my bedroom and left there, for a lovely little reminder of my rushed morning when I get home from work. Not the best look to come home to! By picking out my outfit the night before, I have plenty of time to decide on what I’m going to wear, and to put all my try-on pieces back in my closet.
